La Rada - Spazio per l’arte contemporanea è lieta di invitarvi al terzo appuntamento del 2025 del programma espositivo OUTSIDE OF US, con la mostra collettiva che presenta le opere di Aldo Mozzini, Lucia Cristiani, Rachele Monti, Rebecca Solari, Tristebacio Club.

Shelters from the Storm è il titolo della mostra collettiva a cura di Yimei Zhang e Tommaso Gatti presso La Rada di Locarno. Si tratta di una mostra omaggio allo spazio che per tanti anni ha rappresentato un luogo di confronto e condivisione: una "rada", appunto, approdo al riparo da venti e marosi"

Il titolo trae ispirazione da un celebre brano di Bob Dylan (1975), in cui la tempesta è metafora di un mondo inospitale e ostile. Le opere in mostra mettono in scena una tensione tra protezione e vulnerabilità, indagando l’abitare come gesto precario, in un’epoca di nomadismi, confini porosi e architetture che nascono come rovine. Case che non sono dimore, ma il fragile rifugio di chi cerca asilo nella caducità.

Ogni artista interpreta il tema del rifugio a modo proprio: dalle strutture precarie di Aldo Mozzini alle installazioni materiche di Lucia Cristiani, dalla performance di Rebecca Solari alle immagini perturbanti di Tristebacioclub, fino agli interventi cromatici di Rachele Monti. Insieme, le opere delineano un orizzonte poetico in cui il gesto dell’abitare diventa esperienza estetica e politica, luogo di resistenza e di apertura verso l’altro.

La Rada - Space for Contemporary Art is pleased to invite you to the third event of the 2025 exhibition programme OUTSIDE OF US, with a group exhibition presenting works by Aldo Mozzini, Lucia Cristiani, Rachele Monti, Rebecca Solari, and Tristebacio Club.

Shelters from the Storm is the title of the group exhibition curated by Yimei Zhang and Tommaso Gatti at La Rada in Locarno. This exhibition pays tribute to a space that, for many years, has served as a place of dialogue and exchange—a true ‘rada,’ a haven sheltered from winds and waves.

The title is inspired by a famous song by Bob Dylan (1975), in which the storm is a metaphor for an inhospitable and hostile world. The works on display stage a tension between protection and vulnerability, investigating life as a precarious gesture in an era of nomadism, porous borders, and architecture born in ruins. Houses that are not dwellings, but fragile refuges for those seeking asylum in a time of transience.

Each artist interprets the theme of refuge in their own way: from Aldo Mozzini's precarious structures to Lucia Cristiani's material installations, from Rebecca Solari's performance to Tristebacio Club's disturbing images, to Rachele Monti's chromatic interventions. Together, the works outline a poetic horizon in which the act of living becomes both an aesthetic and political experience, a place of resistance and openness towards others.
